Antique Victorian 18k Gold Diamond and Blue Enamel Locket Pendant
About the Item
A splendid, fine antique Victorian locket pendant.
Made from rich bloomed 18kt gold with a brushed finish this locket exudes luxury from top to bottom.
The front is decorated with a regal Royal Blue guilloche enamelling with tiny gold forget me not flowers forming a border around the centre.
The locket is set with a single bright, sparkling white diamond to the front and has a large integral bale, ready for hanging from your favourite chain or necklace.
This is a magnificent piece of Victorian jewellery with a decadent design and it would make for a grand gift.
Unmarked, Victorian era, C1880s, tests as 18ct gold.
The diamond is a brilliant cut diamond and is a later replacement, good colour and clarity, approx 0.10ct estimated within setting.
Condition:
Good used condition overall with signs of age and use, no glazing, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, a few tiny nibbles around the enamel, Diamond is a replacement, some tiny dings to the reverse.
