Antique Victorian Aesthetic cross pendant, sterling silver and 9k gold
About the Item
This beautiful antique Victorian aesthetic era cross pendant is striking and delicate at the same time.
It is a large sized cross pendant crafted in sterling silver with applied yellow gold leaves and flowers in a typical aesthetic design.
The aesthetic era championed art for arts sake and some magnificent designs came out of the relatively short period.
An unusual design this cross really stands out from the crowd.
This cross would look lovely hung from an antique silver longuard chain necklace, despite it's size it is not so heavy as it is a hollow piece.
Marks and era:
Late Victorian era, c1880s, tests as sterling silver and 9ct Gold.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some surface wear and signs of use commensurate with age, overall patina, some marks and dings to the back, small air hole present in the base from manufacture.
