About the Item
Here's a fun pendant in 14 karat yellow gold, citrine and pearl. Dating back to the turn-of-the-century, this lovely Victorian era lavaliere pendant artfully blends two beautiful gems - an approximately 0.25 carat square faceted bezel set citrine, three 2mm seed pearls, and one 4mm x 2.79mm freshwater pearl - into its effortless design.
The pendant measures 2" long x 7/16" wide and weighs 1.4 grams. The missing original freshwater drop pearl has been replaced.
This circa late 1800s pendant was made during that time by Alling & Co. in Newark, NJ which is indicted by the clover frame maker's mark on the back of the pendant. Citrine was a significant and fashionable gemstone during the Victorian era as it was a favorite stone of Queen Victoria's.
