Art Nouveau Butterfly Pendant Brooch 30 OMC Diamonds Ruby Enamel 18 Karat Gold
About the Item
A wonderful and rare early Art Nouveau Brooch Pendant in the form of a Butterfly. The magnificent Butterfly is 18 Karat Gold.
It is set with 30 gorgeous Old Mine Cut Diamonds. These diamonds are just stunning - very white with the incredible sparkle of the antique diamonds that we just love. Two Ruby cabochons form the eyes of the butterfly. The jewel is set with the most beautiful enamel in colors of orange and blue-green. The gem is a masterpiece of the Art Nouveau period. It dates to Circa 1880-1920. The butterfly can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant with a chain around the pin.
The butterfly is 1 3/4 inches (44mm) wide and 1 inch (26mm) tall.
It is hallmarked 750 for 18 Carat Gold.
The butterfly weighs 10 grams.
