Eighteen Karat Yellow Gold Tea Pendant by the Artist
About the Item
This Tea Twig Chainka pendant is a delicate and unique piece of jewelry made by artist Polya Medvedeva. The design was inspired by a small tea leaf that fell into the artist's cup during a tea ceremony. Chainka is the word for tiny tea leaves and twigs found in a cup of tea, sometimes only 1mm in size. The artist preserved the Chainka between the pages of a book of poems and later recreated it in 18 karat yellow gold. The pendant is so small that it can only be made in gold, as silver is too soft to hold its shape.
This contemporary pendant was featured in a printed issue of Vogue UA magazine and can be combined with other pendants or worn as a charm on a bracelet. It is also available in 14 or 18 karat rose, yellow, black or white gold. Despite its size, this pendant is sure to catch the eye with its delicate and unusual design.

One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
