AJD Peach Morganite and Purple Shimmering Pendant
About the Item
Pendant of oval Morganite with checkerboard table sparkles and pops with all the typical beryl inclusions swinging from a round glowing Amethyst. This hinged Sterling Silver bail works perfectly over your favorite pearls, chains, or other necklaces. Hinges between the bail and the Amethyst, and Amethyst and Morganite give this unique pendant lots of movement. At just over 1.5 inches it's a terrific length and very versatile. These gems are set in a hand made Sterling Silver setting. Amethyst 1.73 carats. Morganite 16.90 carats. Amethyst is the February birthstone and is said to protect from intoxication and evil spells. It will calm your spirit and give you focus. Pure quartz is colorless, but the most prized variety is Amethyst, the purple variety. It's always been considered a 'royal color' and is featured in the British Crown jewels. It was also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty. For centuries this beautiful gemstone has been considered a symbol of power. All this and being absolutely beautiful, what's not to love, the prized velvety richness of purple is so gorgeous.

Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
