About the Item
This is a gorgeous emerald cut Amethyst with accents of sparkling blue Kyanites pendant. This pendant is such a nice size and the unusual color combination makes it distinctive and unique. The hand made Sterling Silver setting features a hinged bail which will fit over pearls or your favorite chain, etc. The Amethyst weighs 21.61 carats. The Kyanite 2.68 carats. The pendant is 1.5 inches in length.
Amethyst is the February birthstone and is said to protect from intoxication and evil spells. It will calm your spirit and give you focus. Pure quartz is colorless, but the most prized variety is Amethyst, the purple variety. It's always been considered a 'royal color' and is featured in the British Crown jewels. It was also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty. It has long been used in Christian jewelry and in the Christian seasons of Lent and Advent.
