Elegant Evening Cocktail Ring of oval Amethyst, 12.40ct, surrounded by sparkling genuine zircons, 0.57ct. This unique amethyst is a special cut with extra sparkle and flashes of pink in the purple. The setting is sterling silver featuring a lovely lattice design. Amethyst is the February birthstone and is said to protect from intoxication and evil spells. It will calm your spirit and give you focus. Pure quartz is colorless, but the most prized variety is Amethyst, the purple variety. It's always been considered a 'royal color' and is featured in the British Crown jewels. It was also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty. With over 20 years of experience and a passion for travel, Martha and Kathy create bespoke jewelry with curated gemstones from their adventures around the world. Martha lived in Brazil for over 15 years and her travels have taken her to various mining regions within Brazil, South Africa, and the Far East to examine and handpick the gemstones for the Aria Collections. Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
