George III Diamond and Enamel Navette Pendant, circa 1790

About the Item

A George III diamond and enamel navette-shaped sentimental pendant, circa 1790, featuring an old cut diamond border on a purple guilloche enameled ground with a central pear-shaped old-cut diamond and a rose cut diamond set bow and garland surround. The pendant is silver-fronted and gold-backed with an engraved border. • Period: Late 18th Century. • Date: Circa 1790s. • Measurement: 3.9 cm (height including bale loop) x 1.6 cm (width). • Weight: 6.0 grams. Condition: The pendant shows light surface scratches and tarnishing typical of age, with minor nicks to the enamel visible under magnification. Diamonds remain bright with light wear.
