Rare Basra Natural Saltwater Pearl & Diamond Pendant/Brooch, Ca. 18th Century. (Pinctada Radiata, as per the GIA certificate Pteriidae Family)
The pearl has a near-Drop shape with a Cream bodycolor typically seeing only in Basra Pearls with a magnificent orient that displays a rainbow. No indications of treatment. Measures approx. 16.10mm X 13mm X 9.75mm. Mollusk Pteriidae family
One partially drilled near-drop Natural Saltwater Pearl, pending from a rose-cut diamond cap, to the rose cut and table cut diamond bow, setting in silver over gold convertible Pendant/Brooch (back closure fitting as brooch added later in time), with numerous transparent near-colorless shaped rose and table cut diamonds various shapes. Later brooch 18 Karat Gold fitting.
