La Belle Epoque Pearl & Ruby Platinum Overlaid Yellow Gold Necklace
About the Item
This one is for the true vintage jewelry connoisseur who appreciates the story as much as the piece. This stunning necklace came in as part of a six-piece estate that escaped the Nazi invasion of Vienna, Austria in 1938. You're looking at an original French La Belle Epoque Victorian pendant, stamped 1905. The pendant showcases a stunning diamond studded platinum ribbon and outer halo. There are 1.98ctw of H-I/SI2-SI1 old European and single cut diamonds. Nineteen natural rubies with a total carat weight of .95ctw are in the inner halo. A natural pearl hangs in the center of the pendant. The platinum pendant overlays solid 14k yellow gold and articulates on a hinge. The pendant measures 41.73L x 24.33W x 2.68D in millimeters, and comes with a new 18" platinum cable chain.
