Original 1970's
Very rare & beautiful space age silver necklace by Finnish silversmith Björn Weckström. Made for his Lapponia workshop in 1972.
A remarkable pendant by Finnish designer Björn Weckström. He was inspired by science fiction fantasy and space exploration in the decade which saw a man walk on the moon for the first time ever. This piece is known as “Space Apple” and is among famous designs that Weckström created while experimenting with acrylic in jewelry in the early 1970s. The result is a beautifully sculptural, biomorphic piece. The acrylic has a brilliant green & blue colouring that is just incredible.
