Native Kingman turquoise and sterling squash blossom necklace with 16 exceptional stones set in shadow box design ending in an additional three stone sand cast naja. Stones are a semi-polished bright light blue with natural finish, having brown and black matrix. No maker's mark. Old Pawn. Great for casual or formal Southwestern attire. An astonishing seventeen perfectly matched natural Bisbee turquoise cabochons were used to create this super rare squash blossom necklace. Today, due to the scarcity of the turquoise the necklace would not be able to be made. Each of the large specimens is the signature look of the lavender pit of the mine, deep Bisbee blue with reddish brown and purple matrix. The quality of the silver work is a great testament to the rarity and beauty of the stone. It is strung with beautiful handmade silver beads and is very wearable. Bisbee mine turquoise was one of the first to appear for sale on the modern American market, which is at least partly responsible for its fame.
