About vitreuos enamel:
The inimitably luminous colours are literally created "in the fire": layer by layer, enamel is carefully fired in at 800 degrees Celsius. During guilloching, the finest wave patterns are engraved into the gold, creating a unique depth effect. Vitreous means made of glass: the ancient technique is almost forgotten today and Victor Mayer is perhaps the last manufactory to master it at the highest level.
About Emeralds:
Emerald is a gemstone and a variety of the mineral beryl colored green by trace amounts of chromium or sometimes vanadium. In gemology, color is divided into three components: hue, saturation, and tone. Emeralds occur in hues ranging from yellow-green to blue-green, with the primary hue necessarily being green.
