About the Item
The unique Kleavet (Trademarked) was originally invented and designed by Paul Amey in 2000 providing an alternative to traditional chains and pendants and the concept can be completely personalised. The Kleavet is worn inside a bra and “hooks” over the side of the bra or dress.
This Paul Amey’s custom "Moon" Kleavet was crafted from 18K yellow and white gold featuring hand carved mother of pearl "moon," with tanzanite, diamonds and keshi pearls with the additional feature of butterflies and bullrushes. One tanzanite and two diamonds are set into the mother of pearl and there is a filigree style “hook” with a round white diamond featured.
There are two round tanzanite’s, a 2pt and a 2.5pt with a feature 5.5mm x 5.5mm trilliant tanzanite. Additionally there are 2 keshi pearls and a variety of round white diamonds which are scattered throughout the design. These being two 18pt, an 8pt, two 5pt, three 3pt, two 2pt and seven 1pt.
The total weight of the Kleavet is 23.8 grams.
The custom "Moon" Kleavet was designed and hand crafted by multi award-winning jeweller Paul Amey in Australia. Stamped with his registered makers mark and precious metal marks. The custom "Moon" Kleavet was designed and completed with over 60 hours labour and finished in 2019. All components are masterfully handcrafted by Paul Amey with only the butterflies being cast. There is no 3D imaging used. Diamond and stone settings were all carried out by Paul Amey.

Paul Amey Jeweller
PAUL AMEY is an ARTIST, DESIGNER, MASTER GOLDSMITH and a fellow of the Gold & Silversmiths Guild of Australia. Paul Amey was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia with one grandfather a watchmaker, the other a jeweller. Jewellery was obviously in his blood! Paul has been a designer and manufacturing jeweller for over 50 years and is well renowned for his work in creating and producing beautiful high-quality jewellery with a dramatic flair completely by hand. Paul is still passionate about designing and producing special pieces. “I have fun with jewellery and so should customers - I give people choices they don’t get from other jewellers.” Paul has seen a great number of design changes and influences come and go, but he says “the fundamentals have always remained the same skilful design, excellent craftsmanship and an attention to detail.” Like the masters of old, using time-honoured techniques, he is creating modern masterpieces. “Each custom piece is crafted completely by hand, no computers, no mass production.
