Peony Tree Contemporary Necklace in Sterling Silver with Quartz Flower
About the Item
The Peony Tree Twig Necklace with a natural quartz flower is quite large, with the twig part measuring 11 cm in length. It is made up of several silver parts connected together, and the flower is made of frosted quartz.
This piece looks more like a sculpture than a piece of jewelry, with a wood texture that is pleasing to the eye. The inspiration for natural textures and shapes comes from Japanese poetry and old Chinese ink paintings, where the peony is a symbol of generosity and abundance.
The Peony Necklace was designed by oil painter Polya Medvedeva. The artist chose a real peony twig and made a copy of it, but since it was not possible to simply copy the twig, the piece consists of several different parts that were copied separately.

Polya's pieces are featured in Vogue UA, Harper’s Bazaar UA, Another magazine UK, and other publications. One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
