About the Item

A lovely painted porcelain pin from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This gorgeous piece is comprised of an oval shaped porcelain plaque held within a fabulous 10k gold frame. The porcelain features a wonderful hand painted image of a sweet winged cherub, who is resting his chin on the palm of his hand and softly gazing off into the distance. The cherub is surrounded by soft pastel-hued clouds. The color and detail is lovely, and the portrait is simply beautiful. The gold frame features a simple beaded-border. The backside of the piece features a simple pin clasp and hidden bail. It's a versatile piece that would look lovely worn pinned to your favorite jacket! Measurements: The pin measures 2 1/8" tall, 1 3/4" wide, and is 1/4" thick. Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the painted porcelain portrait or to the gold setting. The pin clasp and hidden bail are both secure and in working order.
