Victorian 14k Demantoid Garnet Anchor Pendant
About the Item
An incredible diamond anchor bar charm from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful brooch is crafted in 14kt gold, and has a stylish nautical design. Hanging from gold jump ring is a stunning gemstone anchor wrapped in a gold textured "rope" wire. The surface of the anchor is encrusted with 24 vibrant demantoid garnets, which line the surface in a pavé setting. The demantoid garnets are naturally green, displaying a wonderful and lively hue that provides the perfect pop of color! Wrapped around the top of the anchor is a strand of textured gold "rope," adding to the 3-dimensional quality of the piece. A pin clasp rests on the back of the brooch, allowing it to fasten securely to a favorite garment. This charming and unusual accessory is sure to delight any nautical enthusiast or antique jewelry collector!
Measurements: The anchor is approximately 1" long and approximately 3/5" wide. The stones range between 2.5mm and 1.3mm in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the demantoid garnets are intact and securely set.
