Victorian Old-Cut Diamond Mourning Locket Pendant
About the Item
Here we have a captivating mourning locket pendant featuring a preserved leaf encased in a clear oval frame. The frame is elegantly bordered with a series of old mine-cut diamonds, each exuding a brilliant white hue. The diamonds are meticulously collet set in silver atop a yellow gold backing enhancing the pendant's luxurious appeal. The piece is suspended from a diamond-set bail atop before being made complete by an engraving on the reverse side which reads:
'IN LOVING MEMORY OF HARRIET CRAWLEY DIED 16TH OCTOBER 1886 AGED 76'.
