About the Item

This sapphire demiparure is something most jewellery collectors dream of! It's a set that is still together since it was first produced. It's hard to find sets of jewellery that are still together but this is one of the few from the 19th century that survived. The sapphires are cabochon cut and are a beautiful deep blue colour; The diamonds are rose cut, which was common for the time this piece was produced. They are bright white and are well cut, considering that diamonds from the 19th century were all cut by hand, so no two are exactly the same. The pendant has a total of four oval cabochon cut sapphires that weigh: 3.50ctw, and sixty-eight rose cut diamonds that weigh: 1.30ctw with a clarity of Si2-I2 and I-J colour. The pendant is made entirely from silver. The earrings have four cabochon cut sapphires set into them - weighing 2.20ctw and twenty-eight rose cut diamonds that weigh: 0.56ctw. They are I-J colour and Si2-I1 clarity. The earrings are made entirely from silver. This set is perfect for someone who wants a unique antique set that you can wear daily and also have seperate pieces to mix and wear with other jewels. The rose cut diamonds stand out against the patinated silver setting, coming off as very white. This item comes with a verification report from a certified independent appraiser.
