Victorian engraved box. An oval snuff/pill box featuring a gold lid engraved with floral motifs set within a garland border and a foliate pattern to the side, all on a petrified wood base, fitted to back with a secure hinged mechanism, the box measures approximately 5.5cm x 4cm x 2.5cm and weighs approximately 44.69 grams. Tested 18ct yellow gold, circa 1900.
