The company is totally dedicated to the designing, manufacturing and selling of its own jewelry, creating a very special and close relationship with each customer, on a personal basis. Our jewelry is characterized by excellence in design, individual attention to craftsmanship and the use of most magnificent metals and gemstones. Julius Cohen began his jewelry career in 1929, at age 16, working for the prestigious company of Oscar Heyman & Bros., owned by his uncles. He also began traveling extensively in the United States, meeting new customers and understanding the emotional involvement a jeweler can have both with his creations and with the families of customers that acquire those creations. Later, he joined the firm of Harry Winston in New York, another very illustrious jeweler, where he was responsible for developing new markets, particularly in Texas. - Antique Italian Pink Coral and Sterling Silver Letter OpenerLocated in Roma, ITThis silver and antique coral letter opener was handmade by our talented goldsmiths, who used a coral branch from Sciacca, the Sicilian town famous for its corals. As of today the summit of the Ferdinandea Island remains between about 6 and 8 meters below the Mediterranean Sea level. Its most recent appearance as an island was in July 1831. In the late 1831, in a shoal (called later ”Bummolo” by the fishermen of Sciacca) located around 30 miles from Sciacca, a new island emerged in a fiery hell from the depths of the Strait of Sicily.
