ST LOUIS Antique French Crystal Dresser / Vanity Perfume Set 4 pc Antique French Saint Louis crystal dresser or vanity set. Comprising of three perfume bottles with gorgeous faceted stoppers, and one oval tray. Each piece is of quality hand blown crystal, decorated with an all over intricate textured etched cameo surface. Trimmed in gold highlights. The stoppers are engraved with a number to correspond with matching numbers found on the bases of the bottles, indicating they are original. A beautiful set, ideal for your vanity or dresser. These pieces are unmarked, made prior to the acid etched mark first used by the firm in 1936. St Louis crystal The Crystal Saint Louis is the oldest manufacturer of Crystal of Europe ( 1586 ). By letters patent dated 1767, Louis XV gave Münzthal the prestigious name of Verrerie Royale de Saint-Louis (Saint-Louis Royal Glassworks). Fifteen years later, the formula for producing crystal was discovered by François de Beaufort. The Verrerie Royale de Saint-Louis was renamed the Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis. Unrivalled, dense, clear, sonorous and luminous, born of a ball of fire and the breath of man, Saint-Louis crystal vibrates with all the talent inherited from History and extraordinary creative fantasy inspired by current trends.
