About the Item

THIS IS A SUPERB AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE OF A PARAKEET BIRD ON A BRANCH SIGNED WITH THE BERGMAN MARK. This wonderful antique Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze) is so charming with its yellow-green and blue parakeet bird. The bronze is of the highest quality of Vienna Bronzes with superb modeling and expression and with the mark of the Bergman foundry of the B in an urn. The bronze depicts the most wonderful parakeet in a perky adorable pose perched on a branch looking over the neighborhood! The expression on the bird's faces is so full of life and the details on the feathers is exquisite. The bronze is hand painted in the cold painted bronze technique. The branch is fabulous with wonderful details. This is such a delightful piece. The bronze is 4 1/2 inches long and is 2 3/4 inches tall. The bronze has the Bergman hallmark of a B in an urn. The bronze is solid. We have included a photo of several other parakeet and parrot bronzes we have available. The listing is only for the 1 bird on the branch.
