THIS IS A SUPERB BERGMAN AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE OF TWO PARAKEET BIRDS ON A BRANCH.
This wonderful antique Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze) is so charming with its yellow-green and blue parakeet birds. The bronze is of the highest quality of Vienna Bronzes with superb modeling and expression and with the mark of the Bergman foundry of the B in an urn.
The bronze depicts the most wonderful pair of parakeets in perky adorable poses perched on a branch looking over the neighborhood! The expressions on the birds faces are so full of life and the details on the feathers is exquisite. The bronzes are hand painted in the cold painted bronze technique. The branch is fabulous with wonderful details. This is such a delightful piece.
The bronze is 7 inches (18 cm) long and is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) tall.
The bronze has the Bergman hallmark of a B in an urn.
The bronze is solid.
