Victorian Art Nouveau Extra Long Silver Globe Hat Pin with Brass Details, 1900s

About the Item

Though teetering hats are no longer de rigeur, glorious century-plus-old pins such as these can be pierced through modern hats as statement accessories or even arranged like flowers in a vase. This extraordinary example combines a silver plated globe adorned with Art Nouveau brass details to create accessory worthy of standing on its own. 9 ¼” hat pin with silver stem; silver plate globe finial adorned with brass Art Nouveau detail. material: silver plate metal, brass noteworthy: gently clean with damp cloth repairs: none condition: very good with moderate tarnish on stem and light dimpling on globe finial; stem slightly curved measurements: length: 8 ½” (stem), ¾” (finial) finial diameter: ¾” signature: no signature present
