Victorian Carved 14 Karat Yellow Gold Lorgnette with Folding Reading Glasses
About the Item
Shown here are a pair of incredible vintage hinged reading / opera glasses from the Victorian era. Made of intricately carved 14K yellow gold, this stunning relic features collapsible glasses hidden within the golden wand. With the simple push of a button, the glasses pop out! To collapse, the lenses fold in half and then fold back into the compact wand frame. There is also a small round bail at the bottom for an optional eyeglass chain (not included). The glasses themselves are very delicate with a few minor scratches visible on the lens as well as a very small chip near the frame. Antique lovers all around will absolutely cherish this stunning piece of history.
