About the Item

This set of six sterling silver buttons are decorated with a Tudor rose on turquoise ground surrounded by a turquoise circle. Each button is impressed with the left facing lion for sterling silver, the anchor mark for Birmingham as the place of manufacture. All buttons carry the year letter m for 1911. There is a rectangle with the impressed makers initials L.E, possibly Lawrence Emanuel. This mark is recorded to have been in use from 1886-1926. The weight indicated in the listing is the weight without the fitted box.
