A fine antique Victorian glove stretcher. In sterling silver with repoussé handles. By Whiting and patent dated June 1875. Simply an amazing piece of American Victorian silver by a top-shelf silver company! Date: Late 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. There is a very slight bend to the handle, some high point wear with one spot of polishing through the repousse decoration, a monogram to the interior of the handle, some spots of edge wear, a few very fine and light indentations here and there, some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Whiting Marks: Marked for Whiting / Sterling / 3324 / Patent June 29.75 Measurements: Length: ca. 8 3/4 in. Width: ca. 1 1/2 in. Height: ca. 3/4 in.
