This intricately hand engraved decagon shaped band, called the Bidri Band, is part of Agaro Jewels' Ananta collection. The collection is an exploration of infinity, a journey into subtle space that intertwines with delicate craftsmanship. Inspired by the Indian Bidri Art of inlay, this hand forged Decagon shaped band in solid 22K gold has a floral motif that encircles the band in a seemingly endless loop, symbolising eternal love, boundless possibilities, and infinite connections. There is an interesting interplay of gold textural dots and black enamel on either side of the ring with tsavorites and pink sapphires set within it.
Like all Agaro jewelry, this ring is entirely handmade, hand-engraved and enameled with hot fired glass enamel using an ancient 17th century jewelry making art from the ateliers of the Mughal Court. The jewelry that was produced in these Mughal courts was always made using gold at its very purest (22K and higher), delicately wrought and brilliantly fused with meenakari, or enameling. It was said even Paris could not paint gold to the standard produced within these Mughal ateliers.
Today, Agaro jewelry uses these same traditions and techniques that have been passed down through generations. The Bidri Ring undergoes a meticulous process where hot fired glass enamel is carefully fused onto the engraved surface, adding vibrance and life to the piece, with a captivating interplay of colour and gold texture. The band can be worn individually or paired with other Agaro rings to create an interesting stack with unique play of patterns, colours and textures.
In 22K gold, 0.15 ct pink sapphires, 0.15 ct tsavorites, and vitreous enamel.
