Amina Sorel
Amina Sorel is Haitian-American, a mother of a
toddler, a native New Yorker, a Gemological Institute
of America (GIA) Certified Diamond Expert, a Graduate
Gemologist and global citizen who has developed a
multifaceted and unique perspective on gemology, jewelry
design and style.
She established Amina Sorel Fine Jewelry in 2018 to
encompass the intersectionality of the Arts, Culture and
Jewelry. Amina’s travels throughout Africa, Europe, Asia,
North America and the Caribbean provided opportunities
to nourish her passion for jewelry design. She honed her
gemology trade skills, appraisal and marketing expertise
at GIA and FIT and alongside some of the most iconic
Diamantaires and legacies in gemstones and jewelry
design all while crafting her artistic viewpoint.
Many of Amina’s pieces have graced celebrities at red
carpet and award events. Her mission is to continually
invigorate wearers to embrace and enhance their
uniqueness, creativity and style through jewelry.
