A stunning 2.50cts Colombian Emerald & Old Mine Diamond set on 18k Gold Ring, Circa 1940.
Not less than this strong 18k gold Mellerio setting and 2.15 carats of Old Mine diamonds were necessary to enhance this 2.50 carats Colombian Emerald of the most beautiful deep Green there is.
The emerald gardens inclusions are well displayed so the stone reveals a great transparency and the syrupy texture we are looking for.
The top green color reminds us of the Muzo green, named after the famous Colombian mine, a classification that can be found in old mine Emeralds. The Emerald is certified by GEM Lab Paris, coming from Colombia with a minor oil traditional treatment (E3-1) with no change of aspect of the stone. A rare gem on a rare ring.
It is a great universal size 6 1/2, that can be resize if necessary.

Weight: 10.66 grams
Ring top measuring 2 cm x 1.5 cm
Emerald : 9.34mm x 6.25mm x 5.39mm, total estimated weight 2.25 carat, of the most researched deep Bluish Green Color. Moderately Included.
Diamonds : 8 diamonds of 0.20 carats each and 2 lateral diamonds of 0.25 for a total of 2.10 carats. Old mine cut, good white color.
Marks: MELLERIO, numbered.
