Antique Regency Turquoise and Diamond forget me not ring, 15k gold
About the Item
A gorgeous antique, Regency era forget me not flower ring.
A gift for a lover, a promise to return, an admission of true romance, whatever the reason for this ring being given it sure is a beauty.
Crafted in buttery rich 15ct yellow gold with decorative scrolling pierced shoulders, it is a delicate yet bold piece.
To the centre there is a forget me not flower, the petals made up with rich blue / green turquoise cabochons with a single rose cut diamond centre, the diamond is set in a silver setting.
The shape of the flower is reminiscent of the earlier Georgian design forget me nots and the turquoise is of a very good quality.
To the reverse there is a glazed panel enclosing a small section of dark hair.
The inside of the band has been engraved in fancy script though this is hard to read.
This is a genuine antique gem of a ring, filled with sentiment and beauty.

Unmarked, electronically tests as 15ct gold, English make c1810s, Regency era
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, light wear to the back of the band, has been previously resized, scratches to the inner band, some residual marks under the glazed locket.
