About the Item
We are delighted to offer this fabulous antique Victorian ring made in Birmingham in 1897.
The ring features a charming flower cluster design at the top adorned with 4 turquoise gemstones, pearls and once central antique rose-cut diamond.
The gold setting in 15ct antique gold presents a rich and warm gold tone that elegantly contrasts the vivid blue and white colours. Distinctly Victorian and distinguishing itself from contemporary pieces, the shoulders of the ring feature a slightly convex and 'puffy' design which is further embellished with two dots and a stippled line.
On the inside of the shank, a full array of crisp English hallmarks are present and are a lovely example of well-stuck hallmarks in such a small area.
Overall, a wonderful addition to any jewellery collection, whether be it for wearing as a single standout piece or amongst other antique pieces. This ring certainly would grace the hands of a discerning antique lover with unapologetic Victorian flair and opulence.
Turquoise is known to be the birthstone for December, diamonds for April and pearls for June.
