Belle Époque marquise shape diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting, with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, flanked by one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 0.90 carats, encompassed further by eighteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings, with an approximate weight of 2.50 carats. The total combined diamond weight is approximately 4.40 carats, to an elegant marquise shape cluster design featuring curved claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by raised trumpeting shoulders that flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat rose gold, setting tested platinum, French, circa 1905.
