Edwardian 1.00 Carat Total Diamond and Ruby Ring, circa 1910s
About the Item
A lovely old cut diamond is encircled by two halos, one of rubies and one of diamonds. The centre diamond is 0.20 carat, and is rub over set. It is graded as F to G colour and VS clarity. The first halo has 8 raspberry red rubies, totalling to 0.40 carat. The outer halo is made up of 8 old cut diamonds, totalling to 0.80 carat. The gems are set in platinum, while the band is made of 18 carat yellow gold. This pretty ring was made by hand in the Edwardian era, the floral design is typical of the time.
