Victorian 1.10 Carat Diamond Five-Stone Ring, circa 1900s
About the Item
A classic Victorian five stone diamond ring, featuring old cut diamonds. The diamonds, hand cut, graduate in size, starting with a 0.40 carat stone in the centre and moving out, two weighing 0.25 carat and the ends weighing 0.10 carat. This brings the weight to 1.10 carat in total and all the diamonds have been expertly claw set. The design is typical of the 1900s and the sparkling stones are estimated as F to G in colour and VS in clarity. The metal is 18 carat yellow gold, the preferred metal of the era and the piece is all handmade.
