One of a Kind Ring hand-fabricated by jewelry maker Lola Brooks featuring an extraordinary glowing 23.69 carat lush blue green tourmaline cabochon bezel-set in the artist's signature cast and intricately-finished 18k yellow gold. Size 6.5 (can be sized). Stamped and Hallmarked.
About the Maker - Lola Brooks studied fashion at Pratt Institute where she instantly fell in love with the art of metalsmithing. Earning her BFA from the prestigious State University of New York New Paltz, Lola passionately and thoroughly investigated the mechanical and technical aspects of jewelry making, mastering the traditions and subtle intricacies of metalsmithing. Influenced by history, Lola continues to find inspiration in early Victorian jewels, the Arts and Crafts movement, and American art jewelry post World War II. Intently dedicated to fabricating beautiful things by hand, the award-winning maker often implements hand-selected untreated sapphires, tourmalines, diamonds, and other unusual rare gems into her signature-finished 18k and 22k gold designs. Lola finds herself challenging the standards of fine jewelry, constantly tinkering with jewelry norms by setting precious gemstones alongside alternative materials and soldering rare metals with steel. No matter the approach, each and every jewel materializes as an infinitely wearable and timeless piece of wearable art.
