5.30ct Natural Ceylon Star Sapphire Ring Vintage 14k Gold Sz 9 CERT No Heat
About the Item
Stylish vintage natural Ceylon star sapphire ring crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1970s).
Natural star sapphire, approx. 5.30ct (12.1 x 7.0 x 5.8mm), medium-dark blue color, lightly included, high polish. A faint star is visible under a pinpoint light source. Color and inclusions are typical of star sapphires from Ceylon (Sri Lanka). There is no evidence of any treatments to the stone.
Set in an east to west position, the star sapphire glows in natural sunlight. The gemstone is securely prong set with a florentine finish to the side shoulders. The ring makes a nice statement on the hand. The medium rise ring (7.5mm - 0.29 inches) sits comfortably on the finger.
Included is a report from Guild Laboratories with an "Estimate of Retail Selling Price New for Comparison Purposes" - $7,000.00
The ring is in good and was lightly cleaned and polished.
