Blue Flash Moonstone Cabochon Bezel Set Ring 18k Gold, 9.79 Carats
About the Item
This beautiful, 18k yellow gold handmade ring features a remarkably transparent 9.79 carat oval moonstone cabochon with gorgeous blue flash adularescence. Adularescence, or "billowy light effect" is the optical phenomenon that occurs in moonstone as light reflects between layers inside the gemstone's crystalline structure. The glowing luster that results has the appearance of moonlight floating on water. "Blue flash" moonstones refer to moonstones that exhibit blue adularescence. Fine quality blue flash moonstones such as the one in this ring are rare, especially in larger sizes. This ring was custom designed to showcase this gem in a handmade 18k yellow gold bezel that has been hand finished with exquisite detail. Decorative 18k white gold balls adorn the tailored, high-polished band, which is wide and balanced for comfort, yet elegant in design. This level of artisan skill and attention to detail is rarely seen today. Handmade in 18k yellow and white gold by our Master Jewelers in Los Angeles.
