About the Item
Fine antique Edwardian period natural carved reticulated apple green Chinese jade ring with a Laurel leaf gold crest surrounded by natural seed pearls and a beautifully engraved 14K gold setting. The jade is apple green with lovely deep forest green inclusions, well carved with a good patina and a slight hairline, visible only under magnification. The carving depicts flower and bird imagery which is emblematic of traditional Chinese aesthetics of appreciating the beauty of the natural world. Splendid Spring Scenery is often characterized by the bird and flower motifs, expressing the elegant and exquisite forms of harmony and beauty in nature.
