Straight from the Art Deco period we bring you this stunning natural 10.60ct Emerald cut Aquamarine dress ring. It's timeless, elegant and oh so popular. These rings have grown in popularity since Prince Harry gifted his late Mother, Princess Diana's aquamarine ring to his new wife. This one is an original Art Deco mounting crafted perfectly in platinum with intricate detailing on the sides and around the gallery. Pierced openwork with foliate motifs work up to a four claw setting. The shoulders are delicate and lacy with approximately 0.32cts of old European & single cut diamonds. Truly this ring is worthy of a princess. The Details - Metal - Platinum - stamped PLAT - 142 inside shank (some markings are slightly illegible due to wear) There appears to be a French stamp on the outside of the shank but not legible enough to say conclusively. Gemstones - a 10.60ct natural untreated Aquamarine - showing some usual needle like inclusions (known as 'Rain') signifying this is a natural, untreated gemstone. Diamonds are approximately 0.32cts H - I colour, SI clarity - bezel and grain set Ring size - US - 7.25, UK/AU - O (can be resized - offered complimentary) Measurements - 0.515 width x 0.605 inches / 1.335 x 1.537cm Total weight - 7.30 grams Circa - 1920's Condition Report - this ring is in good condition with all stones secure in their mountings. It could do with a light polish of the platinum if requested upon purchase, however it shows the original patina of the metal. The Aquamarine is in good condition with no visible chips or abrasions to the facet edges. The colour of the aquamarine ranges in tone from indoor light to outdoor which you can probably see in the photos. The photos have not been enhanced in any way. The Aquamarine does show some needle-like inclusions which are known as 'rain' inclusions. These are common in Aquamarine, particularly if the material hasn't been heat treated.
