About the Item
An early 20th C Italian ring, finely hand made in Florentine goldsmith tradition (starting in 16th C) distinguished for its refined fretwork (perforation) and engraving.
This nice example of Florentine jewellery art is set with a large round cut natural aquamarine framed by a delicate hand-pierced and engraved bombe mount with 10 natural rubies set in it. A fashionable, eye catching ring, all original, in a great wearable condition.
The item specifications are: 1 natural light blue aquamarine, 1.4 cm in diameter, at approx. 8 ct weight, 10 natural round cut rubies, 2 mm each; silver and 18K gold tested; the head of the ring is 2.2 cm in diameter; size- 6 / US ( L/ UK); weight- 7.3gr
