Austrian art nouveau ring with bloodstone. A highly decorated ring, created in Austria or probably Germany during the early art nouveau period, back in the 1890. This beautiful ring has been crafted with intricate curved scrolls motifs in yellow gold of 18 karats and finished with a delicate brushed texture. Gemstones: Mount in a bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (10 x 7.2 x 5.1 mm) of natural bloodstone with an estimate weight of 2.63 carats. Birthstone: Bloodstone for the month of March. Weight: 3.95 Grams, (2.56 Dwt). Size: 6 and may be easily sized on request. Measurements: 13 mm by 19 mm (0.51 x 0.75 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's monogram mark. Bloodstone Is a mineral aggregate heliotrope also known as bloodstone, is a cryptocrystalline mixture of quartz that occurs mostly as jasper (opaque) or sometimes as chalcedony (translucent).
