Blue Moonstone and Diamond Mythology Collection Selene Ring by MadStone
About the Item
Specs: 18k white gold ring featuring 13.52 carats of Blue Moonstones and 1.5 carats of Diamonds.
Story: Selene was a Titan goddess in Greek mythology, daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia. She had two siblings, Helios and Eos. She was the goddess of the moon, which she drove every night across the skies. Selene was linked to Artemis as well as Hecate; all three were considered lunar goddesses.

Kerri Halpern of Madstone Design has always been intrigued by Greek and Roman mythology. She drew much of her inspiration for the Madstone Mythology collection through her years of travel and studying ancient cultures. Recent trips to the Louvre and Metropolitan Museum of Art to view art and sculpture from this period also brought new insight. Each jewelry piece in this collection is designed to embody the essence of the God or Goddess she refers to incorporating symbolism used in art and literature.
