About the Item

Absolutely exquisite, large cushion cut vivid pink rubellite or rubelite, is talon prong set in 18 karat white gold and surrounded by prong-set baguette and round brilliant diamonds in a timeless and very elegant cocktail ring setting. The center rubellite is surrounded by a step down halo of round brilliant diamonds and further surrounded by baguette diamonds set in between surrounding rows of round brilliant diamonds creating the beautiful free flowing ballerina design. The rectangular rounded and scalloped design of the ring mounting is a modern and very stylish twist to the typical round ballerina design. There is also three vertical rows of round brilliant diamonds with two rows of baguette diamonds in-between creating even more beauty from each side view of the ring shank. The back side of the ring is equally beautiful too. It features an open cage like design of scrolling free-form hearts and the shank is substantial in width, yet very comfortable to wear. The squarish shaped rubellite is the most beautiful vivid pink color and weighs 9.90 carats and measures approximately 13.09 mm long x 12.71 mm wide. Rubellite is the red or pink variety of tourmaline and is a member of elbaite. Trace amounts of manganese create rubellite's natural pink to red color. Rubellite is also the rarest gem in its gem family. It is occasionally mistaken for ruby. A total of approximately 198 round brilliant diamonds have a combined total weight of approximately 3.96 carats. A total of approximately 134 tapered baguette diamonds have a combined total weight of approximately 6.70 carats. Approximately 10.66 carat total diamond weight. Total combined carat weight of the rubellite and diamond ring is approximately 20.56 carats. Face of ring measures 30.09 mm long x 27.60 mm wide x 12.98 mm deep.
