Streamlined, sophisticated Art Deco period 18K gold City Skyline statement ring featuring a superb vivid golden orange oval facet cut citrine of excellent color and clarity. The substantial 18K yellow gold setting is a stylized city skyline composed of gold skyscrapers topped by the citrine gemstone.
Historically, citrines have been revered since ancient times as talismans which could manifest desires, especially prosperity. The gemstone was used by the ancient Greeks and Romans in intaglio carvings and was highly prized for its beautiful amber color and durability. It is often mistaken for topaz and is an attractive alternative for yellow sapphires.
