About the Item

Remarkable cocktail ring with one Emerald and Diamonds. An exceptional modern piece, carefully crafted with classic patterns in solid 18 karats yellow and embellished, with outstanding gemstones. Mounted in the center with four sets of double prongs that are holding a octagonal step cut (12.04 x 11.92 x 9.94 mm) of a natural vivid green Colombian emerald of 8.50 carats. The emerald is surrounded by natural diamonds; 14 round brilliant cuts (0.98 carats) and flanked by 6 straight baguettes cuts (0.84 carats). All are calibrated, E/F color and VS-1 clarity. The total weight is 12.3 Grams and the actual size is 7, sizeable. The top view measures are 25.5 mm by 18 mm (1.01 x 0.71 inch) and the emerald raise 10 mm over the finger. Collateral: The emerald on this ring is accompanied by the Gia laboratory report number 1216990133, stating that the gemstone are from Colombian origin and transparent. Collateral: This ring is accompanied by an appraisal certificate, dated 07/01/2021 stating the approximate market value. Note: This emerald gemstone, was mined in the region of the Muzo-Coscuez mine in Colombia. Has a perfect even color saturation, with no open windows, has great Cristal transparency and has a substantial size. Note: The Muzo-Coscuez emerald district, is a town and municipality in western Boyacá province, in Colombia. Contains several mines, although the Muzo mine is undoubtedly the best known, the Coscuez mine is rapidly gaining significance as a major source of fine emeralds. Yet few in the trade outside of Colombia are aware of the importance of Coscuez or know about the emeralds mined there. The Coscuez mine is literally hundreds of years old, and its history is closely tied to that of Muzo. Located only about 10 km apart, the two areas also share many geologic features and both are currently exploited using open-cut mining methods. The Coscuez emeralds are similar to Muzo stones in their physical properties, but they occur in a somewhat broader range of hue and saturation.
