About the Item
One of a kind piece of art.
This two fingers ring is a tribute to Hokusai’s Great wave of Kanagawa. It is a sculpture, with a great unusual volume. It is enhanced by the high jewelry work of fret-sawing, creating a metal lace, and ajour. The lines thus created add to the sense of movement of the piece. The colouring, with diamonds, emeralds and shades of blue sapphires, is very delicate and can also show some reminiscence of a peacock feather. It is a very powerful object, strictly one of a kind.
It was hand made by the artist, Alix Dumas, in the great tradition of French know how in high jewelry.
