About the Item

At Holystone we like to take everyday things we see in nature and transform them into something truly enchanting. Our ‘Indira’ ring is made entirely by hand to look like a garden. It's centered with a single 5.6CT blue topaz. Designed and created by Holystone in Florida. Ana Maria Bedoya has a strong philanthropy professional background with a strong sense of mission and dedication to cause. She is creative, enthusiastic and inventive thinker, who craves a challenge and who is not afraid to work outside a comfort zone. Reason why she quit her full time job at a well-known nonprofit to pursue her passion and create a jewelry brand built on social values. She is committed to preserved ancient jewelry making art like filigree, sustainable materials, ethics and transparency. She had the opportunity to learn from local artisans the art of filigree in Colombia and attend L’École des Arts Joailliers by Van Cleef & Arpels in Paris to learn regarding colored stones and diamonds. During the pandemic, she earned the Applied Jewelry Professional Diploma at the Gemological Institute of America. The combination of education, working hands-on with gemstones, gaining an understanding of the complex process of creating jewelry, and collaborating with some of the most skilled artisans in the industry enriched her knowledge and background exponentially. Growing up between USA and Colombia, she was constantly surrounded by multicultural environments which is why her jewelry combines a modern USA spirit with traditional South American craftsmanship. Her brand, Holystone, offers modular jewelry (jackets) that can be combined in a multitude of ways, allowing their customers to create a look to match any mood, style, setting, and to evolve with them in any stage of their life. ______________________________________ This piece is part of the NYCJW HERE WE ARE Marketplace.
